Driver Hospitalized After Car Snaps Poles In Hudson Valley

A driver was taken to a hospital following a crash in Northern Westchester that left two utility poles snapped.

The crash happened on Friday, Oct. 4 just before 8:30 p.m., when a vehicle hit two poles on Route 133 in Mount Kisco near the intersection with Crow Hill Road, according to Independent Fire Co. #13 of the Mount Kisco Fire Department. 

Arriving first responders found that the crash had knocked over two poles, leaving wires dangerously close to the roadway. 

The driver was soon taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla by the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps. 

The cause of the crash was not released.
